New Delhi: Oppo’s budget smartphone Neo 5 officially
launched in India at Rs 9,990 : Chinese company Oppo on Monday launched its new
budget handset, the Neo 5 in India at a price of Rs.9.990. The Neo 5 was
announced globally back in August, 2014.

The dual-sim Oppo smartphone sports a 4.5-inch (480x854p)
IPS LCD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It is powered by 1.3GHz
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and comes with 4GB
internal storage and optional external storage expandable up to 32GB via
microSD card.
Oppo Neo 5 packs a 2,000mAh battery and comes with a
power-saving mode to make the battery last longer. The smartphone is equipped
with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. In terms
of connectivity, Oppo Neo 5 has options of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS.
Tom Lu, CEO, Oppo Mobiles India, said, “Oppo Neo 5 (2015)
will target consumers who expect superior specifications at decent pricing. Our
target is to reach out and cater to each segment in the market.”
